Woody was held back at home to mature, but once he got in the ring, he was on a roll! Woody got a major reserve at his first show, got his first major, 4 point major at the Lakeland-Winter Haven Kennel Club, in June 2007 and finished finished in September 2007 with his 3rd major.

When Woody and his sister Grace were practiced in lure coursing, Grace was clearly the star. But, the first time out in competition, Woody stole the show from his sister. Woody finished his AKC FC and DC in December 2008.
