Holly was one of the two girls we kept out of our Jedda X Amber litter. Holly had a very impressive show career, despite never really being specialed. As she got older, she was shown mainly at Saluki Nationals. In 2005, she won the 7-10 veteran bitch classe and then received an Award of Merit. Holly had numerous other specialty Awards of Merit and several Best of Opposite Sexes. We consider Holly one of the finest Salukis we have ever bred.

Holly was reserved around strangers but was a loving dog once she got to know you. Holly enjoyed bossing many of our other dogs around and was one of our most dominent bitches. At shows, she protected our van by barking loudly any time someone got too close. One of Holly's most endearing traits was that when she was happy, she bayed instead of barking.

Holly was bred to her brother Ch Odi et Amo Cazpar Elessar and produced a litter of four on November 17, 2001. Daughter Nemi is finished and son Buster is major pointed. Nemi has traveld to Carlene Kuhl's house to produce a litter for her Bahja line. Holly's second litter, sired by our Rocky, was born September 2, 2005. Daughter Grace was WB/BOW at the Garden State Saluki Specialty and Reserve in Futurity at the SCOA National Specialty. Daughter Flo is pointed with a breed from the classes.

Holly passed away in January 2006.
