Dovie was bred by Cheryl Holman and was owned by Diane Itzkowitz until her health failed. Dovie has 13 points and 1 major, but was never finished, in part due to Diane's ill health. She produced one litter for Diane, sired by The Madhi. One puppy from the litter is finished and several are major pointed.

When we got Dovie from Diane, she expressed her wish that we repeat the Madhi X Dovie litter, and we ended up doing that in 2001. This litter produced 4 bitches, 2 chocolates and 2 partis. We have shown Hanna lightly, but she hates to show and will probably not be shown much. Three daughters from her first litter were finished before they were 2 years old and one is a BISS winner. Flirt, who went to Marilyn is the dam of a litter, and has one Finnish Champion to her name and two litters of grandchildren in Europe. Harmony in Sweden will be bred in 2007. Aleeza in NM keeps Gail's old Hetz compnay and loves running on Gail's property.

Dovie's 2nd litter for us was sired by our Caz. There were only two surviving puppies in this litter, a black tri dog Shaft and a red parti bitch Candy, we kept both. Shaft finished his championship in October 2005, helping make his sire 2005's top producing saluki stud dog. sister Candy is major pointed.

Dovie passed away from throat cancer on June 27, 2007. She was much loved and will be greatly missed.
