Comet and his sister Fire came to live with us when their breeder Sue Price became very ill and was unable to keep them. Both dogs quickly settled into our group a the house. Comet had never been shown, and was allowed to grow and mature at home for over a year.
Comet's first time in the ring, he was WD and BOW for a major. In his second weekend of showing, he was WD and BOS at the Empire Saluki Club show, picking up a 5 point major and defeating BISS and BIS winning males specials in the process. Comet picked up several single points at a few local shows thoughout the spring. At the MAHA show May 8, 2004, Comet was WD and BOS for a five point major to finish his championship.
In June 2004, Comet travelled to SCOA Nationals to meet his new family, Daniel and Guy. After spending two days at the show with them, Comet went collar shopping with his new family and then moved up to Chicago to live the life of a city dog. He is already heading out to Dog Beach and enjoying the street fairs and festivals. Comet now has a new friend to keep him company, saluki puppy Csaba.
